The FCG Antares is a Cascadian Independence Force aircraft carrier based near Rowsdower Air Force Base.
The carrier is only seen in the respective landing and takeoff sequences of Mission 3 and 4.
History
The FCG Antares arrived at Rowsdower sometime after its capture in the Cascadian Conflict.[1]
Months later during the last battle of the Magadan Invasion, the Antares, along with Rowsdower Air Force Base, launched bombers per invasion head General Faust's orders to "Salt the Earth;" firebombing indiscriminately every position in Point Refuge. For unknown reasons, this attack failed to materialize.[2]
Etymology
The ship's name is based off of the star Antares, the brightest object in the constellation Scorpius. It could also be a reference to Antares Squadron, the main protagonist squadron of Ace Combat: Joint Assault.
