HPBC

HPBCs (likely standing for High Powered Beam Cannon) are air defense weapons used exclusively by the Black Eagle Division of the Cascadian Marine Guard as ground emplacements and vehicle armaments, specifically on the Flagship of the Cascadian White Fleet, the CDV Roosevelt, in the After Calamity Era.

Description

The HPBC is an energy-type weapon, which is very rare amongst any power in the World on Fire. The weapon's beam is of a purple hue and will dissipate after a certain distance. The beam can track a target, albeit very slowly, so while one HPBC is cause for minimal concern, multiple firing simultaneously requires more attention and it considered a priority to take out. The beam will cause damage if passing through it, akin to fly into the searing cordium wake of a Railgun slug.

Application

HPBCs are a relativity rare weapon to come across, with it's only uses being with in the Invasion of Magadan. With it being a energy intensive weapon, it was rarely used during the offensive and was rather used in a defensive application. It's most notable uses (and possible only uses) was an ground emplacement to defend a Marine Guard Command Post at the end of Highway 1 and as part of the CDV Roosevelt's defensive armament against Federation Air Reserve Division K-9 during the attempt of destroying Base Station Zero.
