PT boat
Patrol torpedo (PT) boats are the smallest and most basic form of warship.
Description
PT boats are somewhat difficult to hit to compensate for their weak armor. They are only armed with a machine gun for small-scale defense, and are therefore clustered around one another, akin to littoral combat ships. They are also sometimes used as makeshift yachts.[1] Regardless, they pose very little threat even with quantity.
History
The Burlok Privateers employed a dozen speedboats repurposed as PT boats in their brief stint at Fort Daggerpoint. All of them were wiped out by Sicario during Operation Red Current.[2]
During the Cascadian Conflict, the Pacific Federation garrisoned ten of these boats at Rowsdower Air Force Base, and a lot more with the 1st Naval Battlegroup.[3] They also fielded them on picket duty in the Burning Coast during the hunt for the stolen FNS Jerusalem.[4] All of these boats were swiftly sunk in their respective battles.[5]
