Federation conquests
This article's title is a conjecture. There is no official name for the article's subject slthough it contains canon information.
In the years leading up to the Cascadian Conflict, the Pacific Federation had been exploiting Cascadia's geothermal resources to expand across the world by force and conquest rather than provide aid like before. This prompted the country to seek independence to stop these conquests from continuing.
The Federation, however, refused its plea, and decided to fully vassalize Cascadia into itself entirely. The country, split between those in support of remaining and seceding, collapsed into civil war once the anti-Federation elements started resisting.[1]
The conquests appear to have stopped postwar, with the Federation's military being pushed to the backfoot due to heavy damage from the war and the alliance itself having become a global pariah.[2]
