Briefing

CIF | Stardust: Listen up, we’re about to get started: A lot of mercenaries from around the world have made their way in the country as I’m sure you’ve seen; however, Sicario is currently one of the only groups that can throw around enough fighters to aid in the air war. Cascadia’s National Guard was quickly scattered and taken out by Federation military forces when we originally tried to force them out of Cascadia; they came without mercy, eliminating more than 30% of our active forces. These last few weeks have been...disastrous and we’re on the verge of capitulating into a full-blown guerilla war, we’d like to avoid this and because of that, Sicario will be deployed immediately to several of our units currently in need of our support.
Briefer: Hitman Team, you will be deployed to an agricultural area to the south, one of the Independence Force’s surviving battalions has been driven there by a Federation offensive. Presently, a collection of allied officers presides over a rather notable amount of firepower. The Federation is currently engaged using air and ground units, so a multifaceted loadout is suggested. You might catch the Federation off guard; however, anticipate retaliation in short order. Launch and lift the siege, if that battalion falls, our forces won’t have enough manpower or command to organize again.

Mission Dialogue

Mission Start

Hitman 3 | Comic: Wine as far as the eye can see... Hey Dip, you were the privileged kid, this place put out anything good?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: It’s been over ten years, Mick, since we’ve been in Cascadia, I’d have no idea.
AWACS | Galaxy: Galaxy to Hitman Team, I'm patching you through to the Independence Force comm frequency. Things are getting busy, you’re free to engage any Federation signatures starting now.

  • Hitman 1 WSO | Prez: Weapons and radar all operational, Monarch, think we can afford to share a bottle of red at the end of today?

Cascadia | Wild Boar: This is General Elizabeth of the Independence Force to anyone on this net, we need immediate fire support!
Hitman 3 | Comic: This is Hitman Team, detachment from the Sicario Mercenary Corps receiving you, hang tight, we’re moving in.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: [grunts] Really?! Mercenaries?! Fine! Hitman, we’re designating targets of opportunity, Wild Boar Actual out!

Cascadian Pilot: By the Dust Mother, not exactly the reinforcements we asked for!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): ALCON, be advised, we have allied air support overhead, lase targets as necessary for CAS.
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Why did it have to be mercenaries?!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): You complaining? We’re about to be overrun!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Those war junkies, how can we trust them?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Cascadian hospitality, everyone, by the Dust, I missed it.
Hitman 3 | Comic: Never forgot the local religion, huh? [chuckle] “Dust Mother”...

AWACS | Galaxy: There’s this countrywide interference present, I can’t really track anything outside the immediate AO, does anyone know what’s up with that?
Cascadia | Wild Boar: That’d be the Solana Communications Array in the Aitor Desert down south. It’s damn hard to keep any fronts stable without comms, I’ll tell you that much.

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Last mag! Kenli, Sergeant Uni, take the rest of the men and fall back through the storehouses, that’s an order!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Firebase Graeme has been overrun, I repeat, all Actuals, Firebase Graeme has fallen, we are withdrawing toward final defense lines, check your fire!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Move it, move it, fighting retreat, we need to preserve manpower while we can, Rudmere’s tank will cover our retreat! He’s been tracked, so he’s staying behind!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): H-Hey, hey, Risso!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): What do you want, Adrian? I’m a little occupied here!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): This bottle here is real good [chugs] stuff, with the Federation tax, I could never afford this!

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Who’s this rebel General anyway? Some National Guard officer shouldn’t be giving us this hard of a time.
Federation Ground Unit (Female): The guy’s Morgan Elizabeth, he was Cascadia’s liaison to our Peacekeeping forces during Oceania.[note 1]
Federation Ground Unit (Male): Ironic, then, now that he’s being saved by mercs.

AWACS | Galaxy: You’re keeping a pretty good kill pace today, Comic, you gunning for Monarch’s spot?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: You know how she is, damned overachiever.

Federation Armored Unit (Female): We’ve got hostiles! Jameson, bring us the SAMs, our Air Force is doing jack!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): HQ, we’re Winchester on anti-armor, need assistance ASAP!
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Hitman, we need those tanks dealt with!

After Wild Boar Regiment saved

AWACS | Galaxy: All armored targets splashed, that should give the rebel troops some wiggle room.

[note 2]
Federation Armored Unit (Male): Watch out, Nick, that’s a beehive you’re driving over!
Federation Armored Unit (Male): Oh Dust Mother, not the bees! [screams]

Federation Infantry Unit (Male): Serano? Serano?! Where the hell’s Ben?! He’s got the MANPADS!

Cascadia | Wild Boar: Have Lieutenant Sneeringer move his troops with those Federation positions eliminated, those mercenaries might save our asses yet.
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Okay, that’s a vote of confidence for the mercs, push the counteroffensive!
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Wild Boar Actual to all elements, push the Feds out of this damn valley! Any unit not predisposed, I want you to push to these coordinates and establish a perimeter!

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Fall back, we’ll regroup and reevaluate our tactics!
Federation Command: ALCON, this is Regional HQ, we have a strategy if the rebels want to play rough.
Federation Bomber: This is Silverback 1, we’re Tiger for new tasking, redirecting for area saturation at Phase Line Yellow.
Federation Bomber: This is Ixiom, we’re coasting in. All hands, battlestations.

Assist ground forces in securing the area

MISSION COMPLETE
AWACS | Galaxy: Sicario AWACS Galaxy to all Independence Force elements, advise to cease engagement, Federation is disengaging or no factor.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Good God, we’re alive!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Think those mercs accept tips?
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Uh, it’ll take more than that to convince me.

Federation Command: Did any of our forces get a positive ident on that aircraft that broke our line?
Federation Ground Unit (Male): Affirmative, a crown, mercenaries!
Federation Command: [ping] Hard copy, issuing theaterwide alert: Mercenary forces are now in play by the rebels.

AWACS | Galaxy: Hitman Team, RTB, we’re reporting similar successes up and down Cascadia. If Monarch keeps racking up kills like that, we’re gonna need a bigger offshore account.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Us versus the Federation... Yup, that’s what we’re doing now, n-no big deal, right? Right?
Hitman 3 | Comic: Keep the nerves on you, Monarch seems to be playing out just fine, ain’t that right, lead?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Well, Monarch’s Monarch and that’s besides the point, we’re home; been about a decade, but we’re back, fighting the goddamn new world order.

Debriefing

CIF | Stardust: Good job, Hitman Team, General Elizabeth reports your tactical support pretty much saved his men and a respectable amount of firepower for the Independence Force. Combined with deployments by the rest of Sicario and other mercenaries, we’ve been brought back from the brink and have stabilized our territory. Being able to maintain proper military formation and territory means we’ll be able to wage this war the right way, stand by for further taskings and get some rest.
