Briefing
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Sicario is moving west, ladies and gents, information coming out of country has been spotty, but, well, let's just say there's a demand for people of our pedigree. The Federation's been eyeing a takeover of Cascadia's resources for years as far as I remember and it seems the Cascadians weren't going to take it lying down based on what info's been leaking out. For those of you who don't know, Cascadia's a nation along North America's Western Seaboard, one of the largest on Earth and one of the most prosperous due to its abundant natural resources and geothermal energy deposits. I've never been, but I hear it's beautiful. [chuckle] A country with limitless energy at its fingertips...I know some of us who were born out in the Periphery can't even imagine it, but I'm sure this hits closer to home for some of you. Moving along...there's a communications blackout both in and out of the country and as far as international news goes, nothing is going on except a few riots. Based on the mercenary networks, however, that is a complete lie, a full-blown conflict is proceeding. We've reached out and were given a rendezvous by a Cascadian group called the Independence Force, the main anti-Federation group recognized by the national government. I presume the Federation has the borders on lockdown to stop people like us from coming in, so stay on our toes, if we get found by a patrol, we'll send one of our flights off to take care of them.
Briefer: Sicario is moving northwest towards a rendezvous point set by Cascadia's Independence Force. We don't expect any heavy resistance given our source of ingress; however, each of our fighter groups will be pulling shifts to preserve fuel and ammo. Hitman Team, you will be responsible for the last leg of the journey, which will take us over into Cascadia proper, be prepared to intercept border patrols.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: I know some of you might not be too enthused to be fighting the Federation, so I invite you to leave with what you have of your contract, you'd only slow us down.

Mission Dialogue
Mission Start
AWACS | Galaxy: All Sicario elements, maintain bearing, we have interceptors coming up the rear. Hitman and any willing Gunsel planes, vector to intercept before they get close.
Sicario | Gunsel 1: Hitman 1, take point, we'll play backup.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: This is Hitman 2, weapon safeties are off, let's see how much Federation planes pay out.
Hitman 3 | Comic: Is our targeting system updated to lock onto Federation signatures?
AWACS | Galaxy: I've had them programmed long before we thought about coming this way. Hitman Team, you are cleared to engage.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Alright, Monarch, I don't want to be the first to commit high treason, so...on you.
Federation Pilot (Male): As of yesterday, all inbound flights to Cascadia have been grounded or diverted away, if you do not change directions immediately, we will respond with deadly force. You have no business in Cascadia, divert immediately to these coordinates, this is your final warning.[note 1]
Federation AWACS: All border patrol elements, sync to my data stream and maintain current angels.
Federation Pilot (Male): Copy, requesting target bearing.
Federation AWACS (Male): Push 300, target dead ahead, weapons free.
Hitman 3 | Comic: Hm, this might actually be worth my time.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Looks like it's true, the Federation is weapons free in Cascadia. Even when we crossed into other Federation states illegally, they didn't dare open fire on us like this.
Federation Pilot (Male): We were expecting freelancers, smugglers, not an actual fighting group, what gives?
Federation AWACS (Male): We're sending an inquiry up the wire, stand by.
Second wave
Federation Pilot (Male): That flight of three is feisty, adjust appropriately.
Federation Pilot (Male): Damn, we're taking losses, do we have any QRFs on standby?
Federation AWACS (Male): From what data we can gather, you are engaged with a private security corporation called Sicario.
Federation Pilot (Male): We need specifics, Command!
Federation AWACS (Male): It's a smaller-sized mercenary group that specializes in aerial operations, active along the Periphery. We are still combing through records, but it's thin.
Federation Pilot (Male): We're not equipped to deal with them, send reinforcements!
Federation AWACS (Male): Copy, stand by.
Federation Pilot (Male): Mercenaries, huh? I thought we ran you lot out after Oceania.
Shooting down second wave fighters
Federation AWACS (Male): Damn, they've whittled us down. Blue Squadron, we cannot let mercs of this caliber into Cascadia.
Federation Pilot (Male): Roger that, moving to intercept.
- Hitman 1 WSO | Prez: Painting targets, line ‘em up, Monarch.
Third wave
Hitman 3 | Comic: High-value target down, we good, Galaxy?
Federation Command: We just lost contact with Blue Squadron's flight in this area. Destroyer[sic] Espadon, advise disengagement.
Federation Airship: We've got eyes on the perpetrators, only two small flights, we can take 'em. Escorts, fall into Screening Pattern Alpha.
AWACS | Galaxy: Federation airship tagged and marked. Hitman Team, this one's all yours.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: An airship doing intercepts? What the hell is the Federation so afraid of?
Hitman 3 | Comic: Logical deduction says it's us, now buck up, we're taking this thing down.
Eliminate Federation interceptors
MISSION COMPLETE
Hitman 3 | Comic: Nice shooting, Monarch, good to know we still know our way around a dogfight.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Guess we're in it now... Hey Mick, you got any idea what the Federation is doing in Cascadia?
Hitman 3 | Comic: Why the hell do you think I know? Hey, we've got a contact.
Cascadia | Stardust: To approaching unidentified aircraft: "When the night comes, how do we return home?"
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: "By midnight's light."
Cascadia | Stardust: [ping] Confirmed, welcome to Cascadia, Sicario, follow us, we have a temporary landing strip set up for you mercenaries.
Landing
To land, make sure your airspeed is just slightly above stall speed. Brake once you have touched the ground. Come to a complete stop to complete Landing sequence. You can always skip Takeoff and Landing sequences in the pause menu.
Debriefing
Briefer: Thanks to your efforts, Sicario was able to rendezvous with our contact and refuel for the mission ahead. You'll be heading back out within the hour, so stay on your toes or else your time in Cascadia will be short-lived.
