Objectives:

Briefing

Briefer: Prospero, the economic heart of this side of the world, even the cities of Moira and Byzantiun in the Federation are challenged by it. This was a city whose main purpose was to breed trade, both coming into Cascadia and coming out. It's the largest airship port in Cascadia, and when we went to war, the Federation secured it. A majority of the remaining air traffic, both military and civil for the Federation, operates out of this port. What we're looking at then is the main source of aerial power for the Federation in this war. Our objective is twofold, then, the elimination of Federation air power outright and to show the international community that by taking this city, the Federation is incompetent in protecting world interests. Shelling of the city has been ongoing the last few days, weakening much of the defenses both on the ground and in the air. However, the time is now to move in and secure Prospero and its port, ground units have already surrounded the AO and are making their way in. Hitman Team, you will be tasked in making sure the Federation does not rally a proper aerial defense of the area. Federation air power has constantly been recalled to Prospero and refitting and rearmament has ensured that there has been a constant counterattack from fighters and attackers stemming from the port. Be aware of reinforcements coming from inside and outside the AO, if this goes well, the enemy will be out of steam and the Federation will falter when we finally come for Presidia.

Mission Dialogue

Mission Start

AWACS | Galaxy: Hitman Team, we're kicking the hornet's nest. Be advised, you'll have fast movers rolling off runways and coming in from outside the AO.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: All batteries, concentrate on my mark! We've got air support coming in, so let's return the favor!
Cascadian Fire Mission Spotter: Adjust from the last volley 50 meters, coordinates 3-2-9-4, we're not trying to hit the terminals, fire for effect.
Cascadian Artillery: We're lighting up the entire grid?!
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Mark!
Cascadian Artillery: Fire.

Federation Pilot (Male): Shot down by artillery? Yeah, that'll be the day.[note 1]

Cascadian Fire Mission Spotter: Splash out, BDA, numerous soft targets knocked, the planes are rolling off the tarmac now, requesting another fire mission, HE.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Hitman Team, we've been shelling these assholes for days, but we've done squat! The main hangars are underground, so unless you're good for some digging, we've gotta get them on the way out!
Cascadian Pilot: Let's show them what the Cascadian Air Force can do!
Federation ATC: All planes, you have takeoff authority, just get overhead now and maintain air superiority.

Cascadian Pilot: Dust Mother, they're like a bunch of swarming ants down there, what is that, at least three wings worth?
Cascadian Pilot: They take off, we'll be in for another furball.

Federation Pilot (Male): I didn't survive the Bering Strait just so I could get shot down here!

AWACS | Galaxy: We've got incoming from due north, looks like reinforcements.

Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Why are you even trying?! God damn, just surrender already, don't make me do this!
Hitman 3 | Comic: They know what they've signed up for, just keep fighting!

Federation Pilot (Male): Are we going to have an airfield left to land on?!
Federation Pilot (Male): Cover as many as you can, we've got home field advantage!
Federation ATC: That's not your concern, Azure 3.

Federation Defense: Ah shit, we've got positive contact with the Crowned Mercenary! All arrays, concentrate on him!
Federation Pilot (Male): I swear to God, I'll ram him if I get off this tarmac![note 1]

Cascadia | Wild Boar: To all Federation forces in Prospero, lay down your arms and you will not be harmed. The war is over for you, no need to die for an unjust cause.

Federation Officer: Identify yourself!
Federation Peacekeeper | Commander: I'm the Commander of the Peacekeepers in Cascadia, you'd be well to let us proceed.

Federation Defense: Why are we even holding down this place?! Rebel air cover has air superiority now!
Federation Defense: Word from HQ told us to just hold ground, some sort of new strategy they're running for this AO, just trust in the process. Hey, give me that MANPAD.[note 1]

Hitman 3 | Comic: This war's gotta end at some point, I'm just glad to be picking up what pay I can.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: We still flying after this, with Sicario?
Hitman 3 | Comic: What else are we doing with our lives?

Federation ATC: Okay, once they're out, get out of the tower and evacuate into the basement, orders from Crystal Kingdom.

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Someone send this up the line, some of the civvies still here says the Feds seized their planes and stranded them here. All civilian flights in and out stopped about a week ago, they used those planes to ship out Federation VIPs and whatnot.

Hitman 3 | Comic: I can feel it now, if they lose Prospero, all they have is Presidia.[note 2]
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: And what happens to us, then?
Hitman 3 | Comic: Vacation, go back to the Caribbean for a bit?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Ah, I'll take a year off if I had a choice.

Federation Officer: Stand down, I won't let you carry out these orders![note 3]
Federation Peacekeeper | Commander: Captain Flowers - that's your name, right? - if we don't show the rebels absolute terror, we will lose this war, step aside.
Federation Officer: Over my dead body, I won't be the officer responsible for making this call!
Federation Peacekeeper | Commander: Stand down, Captain!
Federation Officer: You're gonna have to kill me! [sound of five gunshots]

Cascadia | Wild Boar: Try to minimize collateral damage to the facilities and runways, we're gonna have to coopt this place fast.
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): This is Major Rudmere, my tank is meeting zero hostile resistance, Federation troops are either no factor or surrendering outright. A lot of them are Cascadian nationals, what's the call?
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Tag and send them back behind the line, we'll grab any intel we can.[note 4]

Federation Defense: Can't we get Crimson on the horn?!
Federation Defense: They're spread thin trying to cover a lot of the retreats.

Liberate Prospero

Federation ATC: [ping] They're in the net, Command, send it, authenticate Solutions 0-8-1-6.
Federation Commander: Authenticate Blaze, readback.
Federation ATC: Blaze. May God have mercy...
AWACS | Galaxy: The hell is...? Holy shit...thermal signature rising!
Hitman 3 | Comic: What is it, Galaxy?
AWACS | Galaxy: This is AWACS Galaxy to ALCON, I repeat, this is AWACS Galaxy to ALCON, ALCON, ALCON...we have incoming ordinance, cruise missile type, thermal signatures are off the charts, hunker in place or get out of the area! All fighters, I'm sending IFF info, intercept as many as you can!
Hitman 3 | Comic: How many?!
AWACS | Galaxy: Too many! Hey pilot, get us out of the AO now!
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Intercept?! Ah, the hell does he expect us to do, what's so special about these things?!
AWACS | Galaxy: We don't take these things out, we're gonna be up to our necks in shit!
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: [sighs] I'll take your word for it, Galaxy, engaging!

  • Hitman 1 WSO | Prez: What? Why are we sticking around? Monarch, we need to go.
    • Hitman 3 | Comic: Calm down, we can do this!

Hitman 3 | Comic: My readings are going off the wire, what are these things loaded with?!

Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Can we get someone scramble to deal with whoever is launching these?!
Cascadia | Wild Boar: Get the counterbattery up, we're not letting them get away with this, kill them all!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Who-Who did that hit, was anyone in the blast site?!
Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): They're fried, I saw it, it just...fried them to dust, we need to get out of here!

Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Galaxy, there are too many, we need counter on them at their source and we can't do it!
AWACS | Galaxy: I'm tasking any units that can respond, just hold on, Hitman!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Hey, why are the roads cracking up?!

Federation Defense: You feel that, that shaking? Are those secondaries?!

Geological Monitoring Station: This is...Izumi Station, out by Soctavia City, this is a regionwide alert to anyone on this frequency, we have tremors spreading out rapidly from...the Prospero Hub, stand by for further updates.
Geological Monitoring Station: This is Dr. Marc Dominguez of the University of Chiara to all monitoring stations on both sides of the frontline, look, I don't care about the war, we all need to talk to each other through this.
Geological Monitoring Station: Reports of...[stutters] latent cordium reaction to atmospheric conditions, uh, uh, everyone is advised to take shelter indoors effective, uh...[stutters] immediately.
Geological Monitoring Station: Prospero's monitoring station went dark last week, we'll have to assume something is happening there.
Geological Monitoring Station: Uh, Prospero's volcano isn't active, though?! It shouldn't be...
Geological Monitoring Station: Who knows, contamination from all the airship traffic, just latent cordium that's been inert until now?
Geological Monitoring Station: What would set it off, uh, a cordium-primed warhead? Who would do that?!
Geological Monitoring Station: We've never seen this reaction outside the zones before...
Geological Monitoring Station: Whatever's happening in Prospero, it's causing a chain reaction in the dirt beneath us, a...butterfly effect; cordium reacts upon cordium, and if enough of it becomes active, it'll cause a tectonic event that-
Geological Monitoring Station: Y-You don't mean...?
Geological Monitoring Station: Warn everyone; Federation, Cascadian, whatever's happening won't discriminate.

Geological Monitoring Station: The Ring of Fire is going active in Cascadia, it's cooking off!
AWACS | Galaxy: Our sensors just blew out! Everyone, brace!

AWACS | Galaxy: Hello?! Hello?! Is anyone out there?! This is AWACS Galaxy to anyone on this net, please respond, I need damage reports!

Hitman 2 | Diplomat: [sighs] Hitman 2. Still here, I think.

Hitman 3 | Comic: Hitman 3. My plane's alright. What the hell was that?
AWACS | Galaxy: Hell if I know, check your radios, I can't raise anyone on the horn!
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: [sighs] My GPS is out too.
Hitman 3 | Comic: You seeing this stuff on the ground? It's like the apocalypse!
AWACS | Galaxy: It's not our problem. Hitman Team, push 120 and link up with my plane, we are RTB.
MISSION OVER
AWACS | Galaxy: This country has gone insane.
