Point Refuge
Point Refuge is a small city with a dockyard, located west of the Bering Strait.
Overview
The Eastern most city within Magadan before reaching the Bering Strait. It's dockyard is mainly used for any vessels carrying cargo, in or outbound of Magadan such as the Cascadian Merchant Marine.
History
Point Refuge was established before or after Magadan entered as a Federation State. One month since Operation Guillotine was conducted by the Cascadian Independence Force, Point Refuge became the site one of the Cascadians most ambitious plan, the Invasion of Magadan.
The small city became a battleground for the invading Cascadian's Marine Guard, their Merchant Fleet and Mercenary allies, and the defending Federation Reservists. It was a one-sided fight, with the Federation retreating deeper into Magadan. The city then became the CIF's Beachhead for the rest of the invasion force.
The city would remain under Cascadian control for 18 days, until a series of defeats dealt by one of the Federation's Air Reserve Squadrons, the city would become the Cascadian evacuation point and a site of another one-sided battle, but this time in the Federation's favor. After the battle, the Invasion of Magadan was considered over and a major loss by the CIF.
