Though barely noticed by the rest of the world, a cold war is currently being waged in the background between the Pacific Federation and other superpowers, including the West African Concordat and the United Kerneuropa Alliance.

History

This cold war likely began with the Federation beginning to dictate world events. It may have even begun prior to its existence, considering the existence of powers greater than the Federation. Lesser nations went and joined these superpowers while others chose to maintain their independence, shaking the balance of the new world order, especially after the Oceanian War.

The Cascadian Conflict had acted as a proxy war for the greater picture, adversely affecting each superpower's industrial might. Following the Cascadian Calamity Event, however, West Africa condemned the Federation for its atrocities and begin making moves to provide proxy support for the Cascadian Independence Force, also investigating into repurposing its cordium-tipped cruise missiles for its own usage.

Kerneuropa hosted the Cascadian Conflict Ceasefire in Albion by the end of the war. What became of the cold war after is unknown.
