Raid on Federation resource facilities

During the Cascadian Conflict, a series of raids were conducted by Cascadian Independence Force-hired mercenaries on various Pacific Federation-held geothermal resource and storage facilities throughout Cascadia.
Prelude
Since the beginning of the war, the CIF had been losing numerous key territories with the arrival of more Federation reinforcements, especially with the loss of their capital. By early March, however, Independence Force HQ figured out that Cascadia's main attraction is its resources, and they then formed up a plan to cripple their advance and force them to rethink their entire goal in the country.
Their plan called for mercenary air forces to perform the strikes while the main force guarded their frontlines, which would make the Federation redirect forces into defending the facilities. A primarily anti-ground loadout was recommended for them.
Attacks
One of the main operations during this series of raids is Operation Flash Hazard, which was the debut of the Federation Peacekeepers in-country in the form of Crimson Team.[2] The attacks would continue for at least three days.[1]
Aftermath
The attacks had hastened the Federation offensive and scattered them, buying the CIF enough time to reorganize and plan further advances.[2]
