Black Flag

  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Our contract with this backwater place is just about to come to an end, and, well, thank God. I don't mind a tropical vacation every once in a while, but it's not very glamorous considering we're here to work. Anyway, one last thing before the Defense Minister releases our contract and we move on to bigger and better. Hitman Team, you haven't gotten all that much airtime this deployment, so you're taking point with this operation.
Unit Briefer: We have confirmed the location of the Burlok Privateer headquarters off the coast of the southwestern edge of the Jesta Island Chain. They're a mercenary group like us who, unfortunately, have turned to outright piracy. According to surveillance data, we have determined that they are the culprit of the recent high-profile hijacking of the Federation-registered cargo ship Meilynx. The Meilynx is supposedly carrying volatile cargo belonging to the Federation's Department of Global Energy and Sustainability office. Nothing specific from the Federation contact about the cargo; however, our orders are to retrieve it if possible, or to neutralize it if we can't. Attempts to negotiate for it have turned up with nothing, so we're going in. Hitman Team, you are to approach the island from the south along with support and establish control over the area. Your objective is to eliminate any surrounding anti-air and resistance on the island. After that, secure an LZ for our operator group Ronin to ascertain the cargo. Once Ronin lands, maintain air superiority until the next stage of the operation is determined. Be aware that the Burloks have other merc pilots on tap, so enemy reinforcements could be a factor.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Normally, we'd stay out of contact with any Federation-adjacent taskings, but this is the last thing we need to do for our current contract, so...I'll let it slide. Two birds with one stone...asy enough, right? Now get to work, dismissed.
    -Briefing
  • Put me on, Galaxy... This is Assassin 1, callsign Kaiser, I'm the leader of the Sicario Mercenary Corps. We do understand your situation. Sorry about losing your revenue stream, gentlemen, but you know how this business goes. -Radioing Master Goose Squadron about losing their employer, the Burlok Privateers
  • Civil war in Cascadia... Interesting. -Hearing from the mercenaries about the Cascadian Conflict.
  • The money came through from this contract and our opportunities in this region have just about dried up. If no one objects, and your contract with Sicario is still in effect, pack your bags. I looked a little into the Cascadian situation, and I believe we'll make something of ourselves there. -Debriefing

Frontiers

  • Sicario is moving west, ladies and gents. Information coming out of country has been spotty, but, well, let's just say there's a demand for people of our pedigree. The Federation's been eyeing a takeover of Cascadia's resources for years as far as I remember, and it seems the Cascadians weren't going to take it lying down based on what info's been leaking out. For those of you who don't know, Cascadia's a nation along North America's Western Seaboard, one of the largest on Earth and one of the most prosperous due to its abundant natural resources and geothermal energy deposits. I've never been, but I hear it's beautiful. Heh, a country with limitless energy at its fingertips...I know some of us who were born out in the Periphery can't even imagine it, but I'm sure this hits closer to home for some of you. Moving along...there's a communications blackout both in and out of the country, and as far as international news goes, nothing is going on except a few riots. Based on the mercenary networks, however, that is a complete lie; a full-blown conflict is proceeding. We've reached out and were given a rendezvous by a Cascadian group called the Independence Force, the main anti-Federation group recognized by the national government. I presume the Federation has the borders on lockdown to stop people like us from coming in, so stay on our toes. If we get found by a patrol, we'll send one of our flights off to take care of them. -Briefing
  • By midnight's light. -Countersign to J. Griffiths' codeword challenge

Homestead

  • Monarch never disappoints, that’s for sure. All Airborne, prepare for a hot drop. -Responding to Gunsel 1's remark on Hitman Team and ordering Circus' deployment
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You should know after all this time with us, Galaxy. The bigger the foe, the bigger the story.
Gunsel 1: Ah, there he goes again.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: I’m not in this for the money, remember, I’m here for history.
Sicario Pilot: Well, the rest of us are on binding contracts, so please, just don’t get us killed, boss.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: That’s up to you.
-Responding to Galaxy's remark on how much of Sicario stayed for the contract
  • What can we say, Stardust? You get what you pay for. -Responding to Stardust's surprise on Sicario's performance.
  • Excellent work today, Hitman. You get first pick for hangar and bunks.
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: It’s rough around the edges, but as far as forward operating bases go, this isn’t the worst we’ve been at. The base didn’t sustain too much damage and there’s room enough for everyone, even the other freelance mercs.
Stardust: The Independence Force of Cascadia is now the collection of true Cascadian sovereignty, and when the time comes, will see Cascadia rise to its own liberty without the Federation. I’ve been instructed by the remnants of our national government to be your liaison for the duration of your contract with us, of which we’ve sent to Kaiser for you to sign later. To be truthful, I don’t agree with your way of life, but you’ve come to Cascadia to aid us, and for that, I can’t complain. We’ll pay you what you’re due as long as you give us your best. Get settled in. We’ll need you up in the air soon.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: One last thing, everyone: We’re going by our TAC names for the duration of this contract. I’m pretty sure my name is public domain in regards to Sicario. However, we’ve gone to great lengths to keep yours hidden. If you break it, it’s on your ass. You know how bounty hunters are if they have a name. Dismissed.

Sirens of Defeat

  • That’s our number, Sicario, let’s get to business. -Responding to CIF distress calls
  • They’ll tell stories about this mission, ladies and gents.
  • Stardust, Sicario has secured its areas separately. What’s the call?
  • Remember, attack these things from above and below, never from behind or head-on.

Stepping Stone

  • I almost feel bad, Monarch, for making you come with us tomorrow to hit that communication facility, especially after what you pulled off tonight singlehandedly, though that was one hell of a thing you did, and I got a feeling Operation Blackout will need you on point. We have a straight shot to Cascadia’s southeast, and, with any luck, we’ll have fuel to spare for the flight. Sicario is mobilizing en masse tomorrow morning. Get some sleep, because this war isn’t going to win itself. -Debriefing

Pillars of Communications

  • The Aitor Desert has hosted the Solana Communications Array for the greater part of the decade. It was a Federation project in-country that was meant to boost and maintain the communication infrastructure of Cascadia. However, during the war, it has served as a jamming and communication facility. The very basis of a unified command structure is built on the Pillars of Communication, and if we can take out this facility, it’ll be like yanking the rug out right beneath their feet. The facility is heavily defended, hosting an airbase and a ground garrison on its own. The only way we’re getting boots on the ground is via a mass airdrop, followed by relentless close air support from our fighter group, until the entire place is overrun. It’s as simple as that. Now, normally, the Independence Force would be offering some assistance, but they can’t afford to now. Under any other pretense, this is a suicide mission. Even with the air corridor Monarch cleared up, there’s only enough fuel for a one-way trip, so the only way we’re coming back is if we take the adjoining airbase after we hit the facility. Expect heavy air and ground resistance. Pillboxes, tanks, AA, airships, the whole shebang. If we pull this off, well, let’s just say we’ll be handsomely rewarded. Gold or glory, gentlemen. Get to your planes. The Cascadians call this place “the Devil’s Sandbox”, so what does that mean when we’re the ones playing in it, huh? Let’s go! -Briefing
  • This is the largest deployment in our history as a mercenary group. The Independence Force put a lot of faith in us for this operation. Let’s not disappoint.
  • Affirmative, Hitman 2, gotta make sure we have an exit strategy. -When asked about Ronin's presence in the area
  • Good work, cowboy. Sicario, we have our window! Commence attack! -After Ronin sabotages a number of airbase defenses
  • All forces, break it down! Burn it! Cause as much damage as you can to this place and we’ll blow this war wide open! -After Galaxy reminds him of their objective
  • Good work today, people. All damaged aircraft, land and do repairs as needed. If you can’t, just use one of their planes. Ground forces, smash and grab anything worth it and await pickup by Circus. Let’s not overstay our welcome. -Upon mission completion

Cold War

  • Let’s get to business.
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: How many aces are earning their wings today, eh?
Stardust: Is this all a game of glory to you?
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You bet it is.
  • I always loved an audience. -Responding to Galaxy's report on more reinforcements
  • Dump countermeasures! Hit them head on! -Engaging Crimson Team
  • We looking clear across the board, Galaxy? -After mission completion

Midnight Light

  • Hitman Team, an interesting hit came up on available taskings and I don't think anyone else from Sicario's pilots or the other merc teams could take this on, so listen up. -Briefing

Valkyrie's Call

  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: This is Assassin 1 to all mercenaries, follow my vector. We're going in with the sun to our backs.
Mercenary Pilot: Why are you calling the shots, Sicario? Who made you boss?
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Last I checked, it was Sicario that was in high demand for the rebels, not you.
  • We have the element of surprise! Let's act on it, ladies and gentlemen! Onward!
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Tight and professional, Sicario. Don't let me down.
AWACS | Galaxy: We fail you yet, boss?
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Not while I'm around, that's for sure.
  • I see Sawaiiki personnel moving into defensive positions. If they get involved, we might widen the war.
  • All units, no need to share! Everything is for the taking!
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: The old mercenary council from Oceania? No, why?
Mercenary Pilot: Every Lord had their Signature, a mercenary they command but rule the battlefield in their name. Your Crown, he reminds me of another generation of us.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Monarch? There's a reason we call him what we do.
-Discussing his relationship with the Mercenary Cabal
  • There it is, ladies and gentlemen! The worst airship loss in history, all done because of us! Oh, it's a good day to be a mercenary! Monarch, Hitman, dinner's on me! -Upon mission completion

Wayback

  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: This is Assassin 1 to all surviving units, cease radio silence.
AWACS | Galaxy: Good God, you were playing possum?!
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You don't get my job that easy, Dominic. All survivors, saddle up and get airborne. We want above this goat rodeo as soon as possible.
Hitman 3 | Comic: Any of the Circus survive?
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Yeah, one plane. We're gonna get a headcount soon, why?
Hitman 3 | Comic: Load up the stuff from our barracks, sir. That's the least you could do for us after saving your asses.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Fair enough, Hitman 3. The runway seems intact. Get down here and fuel up. I think we've about overstayed our welcome.
-Making contact with Hitman and Galaxy after mission completion
  • I don't think we're staying, if that's what you want. -Responding to Stardust telling them to not leave Cascadia
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You're on our ride out of here. Either pay to come with us or go. Whatever you do, don't waste our time.
Stardust: If I may make Cascadia's case...you're still contracted to Cascadia, Sicario. You have a bargain to fulfill and, quite frankly, you're worth more to us now than ever.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Look outside! You think there's a Cascadia left?!
Stardust: It looks worse than it is, promise. My countrymen are scattering to safe zones to shelter in place. We'll return, and soon enough, after this hell passes. When we do, we'll need your help.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Me and my soldiers don't fight losing wars.
  • There's nothing you can offer to get me to die for a lost cause! The earth itself opened up to fight you! Don't you understand that?! -When offered the Deal briefcases
  • Jesus Christ... -Seeing his part of the Deal
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: A mission?
Stardust: Orders, and what you need to carry it out. Go to the Periphery and bring back everyone who can fight beneath your banner. For all Cascadia knows, you can just take this and run away with it, never to return. But we put our trust in you to come back with the cavalry. If not, well, I guess you'll just be the lowlife mercenary who turned away when history needed him most.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You really are that desperate, aren't you? We'll see.
-Reading the conditions for the Deal
  • What the hell? That's...for...and... It's not for me. -Seeing Hitman's part of the Deal
  • It's better than nothing. Hell, a whole lot better than nothing. Galaxy, you stick around with Hitman. They'll need you. I'll go out of country for a bit, gather up an army.
AWACS | Galaxy: Aw come on, what the hell? Why do I get to stay?
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Because I own you still. That, and you'll do more good here as I go recruit.
-Responding to Comic's remark on the Deal's impact
  • Well, that's it, then. Hitman, I'll be seeing you. -Last words before departing Cascadia for the Periphery

Red Sea

  • You're gonna have more than that, Hitman! -Returning to Cascadia with reinforcements
  • Do you wanna live forever? Let's give the rebels what they paid for! -Rallying his reinforcements
  • All units, you are free to engage! Show them what a wild pack of dogs can do!
  • That battlegroup is almost toast! Light them up! Burn them down!
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: [laughs] We are back in business!
AWACS | Galaxy: It's good to have you back, boss.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: You bet your ass it is.
    -Upon mission completion
  • Hitman, Galaxy, I'm glad to see you're still kicking. This last month abroad has been...really, really interesting. Long story short, a good part of the world is knowing where the wind is blowing, and I've got myself an army no one has ever seen before. Mercenaries, freedom fighters, maybe a secret proxy squadron or two from anti-Federation powers, but hey, we're all in it together now. Refit and reload, we'll get back to it soon enough.
    -Debriefing

Presidia

  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: I brought everyone I could find. Every freedom fighter, every war junkie, every soldier of fortune. Throughout the world, Cascadia has become a beacon of rebellion against the Federation, and for that, I have gathered an army. They're no Sicario, but it's the best we got. The rebels will take everything they can. At first, when taking this job, I thought it was only business, that I could find my glory here, but after all they've done, what they did to us, to Sicario, Only blood will pay for this contract alone.
Stardust: We intended to keep the blockade going for at least a month to drain the Federation defenders, but circumstances have forced our hand; we are moving on Presidia today.
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: Listen up! This is it.
    -Briefing
  • To all mercenaries, do not count days, do not count miles, count only the number of Feds you've killed! Go!
  • You survived, Ronin?
  • Not one step back! We will stand against the Federation!
  • Block by block! Inch by inch! Show them no quarter!
  • Kill them all so they may never come back! -After Endgame phase cleared
  • All units, stand by. Let them know who won this war. -During the ceasefire
  • Assassin 1 | Kaiser: From what vector?! I'm bogey dope!
    Allied Pilot: Contact...faded?!
Assassin 1 | Kaiser: I see it, break!
-Last words before getting shot down by Crimson 1 and ejecting

Kings

  • They had to take this from us! We'll burn them all! We'll burn down the Federation! -Mercenary difficulty credits dialogue
