CR.105

The CR.105 is a delta-wing, supersonic, twin-engined interceptor. It boasts incredible speed only being beaten by the MG-31 and PW-Mk.I. For these reasons, the CR.105 is best used at medium to high altitude for boom and zoom tactics and should be avoided for close air support.

Skins

  1. Light grey fuselage with red leading edges, black nose and anti-glare panel, mercenary and Monarch markings.
  2. White and blue jagged camouflage, Federation Air Force markings.
  3. White fuselage with black canopy and engine intakes, Cascadian Air Force/Independence Force markings.
  4. Skin 3 but with red nose section, wing tips and tail tips, mercenary and Monarch markings.

Trivia

  • The plane was created as Ace Combat Fan's reward for being Backer on Kickstarter.
  • The CR.105 has a cannon mounted on the side of the left intake, in contrast to the Avro Arrow which lacks a cannon.
  • The original description gave it the name "Arrow" as well as a different designation, the ACF-105 (perhaps a nod to Ace Combat Fan):
"Remnants of the Oceanian Rebellion and the various actors of the conflict persist today. The ACF-105 is one such leftover.
A local design from Oceania's native aircraft industry, designed as an interceptor and a deep-strike capable aircraft, it never saw wide-deployment before Oceania was federalized. Despite this, engineers who played a part of its design process fled Oceania and found homes in the Periphery, where the design of the 105 was propagated and then, eventually, put into production in independent factories and sold globally.
Many of these engineers hope that the Arrow, as it is called for its delta-wing configuration and piercing capabilities, will be used one day to free the world from the Federation. For now however, smaller air forces primarily operate the Arrow, often in reconnaissance or border duties."[1]
