Objectives:

Briefing

CIF Command | Stardust: These last few weeks have been victory after victory for the Independence Force; entire frontlines have either fallen or been abandoned by Federation troops in Cascadia, the amount of defectors and prisoners are skyrocketing with each subsequent win, we've now almost taken back every geothermal facility and key strategic point outside of our nation's urban centers. Your mission today, Hitman, makes sure that the countryside returns to its rightful owners, the Cascadian people, I will be rejoining the main offensive lines in the meanwhile; however, I will link up back to you when the time to take Presidia is nigh.
Briefer: Grimwood Coast is among one of the last of the Federation-occupied zones in the Cascadian countryside, it being a delta which a mass amount of retreating Federation manpower and equipment are exfiling through. With many fallen back to Presidia through here, it is imperative that we take control of the area to prevent further manpower and firepower from retreating. The Federation is on its last legs in this region, so they've been setting fires to block our advances. Our reformed firefighting corps have been running water drops for the last 72 hours, but unfortunately, the wildfires have not gone out, we cannot afford to wait any longer. Hitman Team, you will provide CAS to ground forces moving through and taking out the last of the Federation in this area, preventing it to be used as a rally point for their forces. Due to all the smoke, expect ground-level visibility to be low, the terrain is dangerously deceptive.

Mission Dialogue

Mission Start

AWACS | Galaxy: The battle is well underway, engage at will.
Cascadian Firefighter: This is Fire Brigade Rainbow, Captain Sykes speaking, we thought the war was in the frickin' bag when they reorganized the brigade, but I guess not. Can anyone give us cover? We can't let this grid burn down.
AWACS | Galaxy: Captain Sykes, we're predisposed on combat orders.
Hitman 3 | Comic: We're going, Galaxy, task us on it.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Shit, really, Mick? Alright, on you, Monarch.
AWACS | Galaxy: Your call, Hitman, designating AA defenses and other threats to the firefighters.
Cascadian Firefighter: Thank you, Captain Sykes out.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Shoot down those choppers and planes trying to put out the fires, we have to buy time for our evacuation!

Cascadian Firefighter: I'm dumping my tanks on Phase Line Bravo, someone get on the horn with the troops and tell them to pull back, or else they're gonna drown where they stand.

Hitman 3 | Comic: God, what are these idiots doing, are they desperate enough to just light this world on fire again?

Federation Pilot (Male): Shooting down firefighters? I don't know about this...
Federation Command: The fires are our only cover, if you don't, the rebels will punch right through, you want that blood on your hands?
Federation Pilot (Male): [groans] God damn it...

Cascadia | Wild Boar: This is General Elizabeth to all units on this net, if you cannot advance, proceed on your stomach, smoke rises and hell if we're gonna let the Feds get away.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Oh man, is it me or am I smelling this smoke in my cockpit?

AWACS | Galaxy: This is mercenary AWACS Galaxy to ALCON, highly advise we work in tandem with the firefighting aircraft, they can't drop the fire suppressants if they're right on top of our troops.
Hitman 3 | Comic: They're not interested in listening, Galaxy.
AWACS | Galaxy: Don't say I didn't try, then, if they want to get uppity, be my guest, we're still paid by the target.

Federation Pilot (Male): Cover the evacuation choppers!
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: What's our ROE for choppers that are clearly evacing material and manpower?
AWACS | Galaxy: Open season.

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): You're gonna die on this land, Fed.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Damn that Crown, he turned the war in their favor.
Federation Ground Unit (Male): Just one pilot? You're crazy!
Federation Ground Unit (Male): He's always there when something happens, how else?!

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): With our air support, we can't lose!

Federation Ground Unit (Male): How do they expect us to run and fight at the same time?!

Federation Ground Unit (Male): You need to stay, you're not at capacity!
Federation Helicopter Pilot (Male): If we don't go now, we're not getting anyone out of here, the Crown is here and he's going to kill us![note 1]

After initial targets down

Cascadia | Wild Boar: General Elizabeth to air support. Hitman, is that you?
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: One and only.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: The firefighting aircraft should be fine, we need you to retask to forward air support, I know what happens when Monarch is in my deck.
MISSION UPDATE
AWACS | Galaxy: Hitman Team, I'm highlighting new targets. The more you deal from the air, the less the ground forces will have to deal with; Monarch, give 'em what they want.

Cascadian Ground Unit (Male): Just focus on what's ahead of us, the firefighters can drop water on us for all I care.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Dump everything we don't need, we've gotta fit as much as we can on these evac trucks.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Some of the wounded are saying leave 'em behind, they'll have better chances with the rebs.
Federation Ground Unit (Male): Nuh uh, I don't think so, we'll get 'em onboard.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Go ask the Cascadians in our unit, they know this territory best.
Federation Ground Unit (Male): That goes for all the rebels.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): Damn that mercenary for turning the tide in their favor.

Federation Ground Unit (Male): We have to surrender, there's no other option, the Crown is overhead and the enemy is right on our doorstep.
Federation Command: You don't think they will just kill us anyway?!
Federation Ground Unit (Male): If you don't call it, I will.

Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Ah, just surrender already, damn it.

Assist Cascadian forces with retreating Federation forces

MISSION COMPLETE
Federation Command: It's...God damn it...it's over. All units...strike your colors....throw down your arms...we surrender.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: I've got eyes on Federation units popping their flares and flags, disengaging.
Hitman 3 | Comic: Took them long enough.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: Nobody needs to die, not when this war's about to be over.
Cascadia | Wild Boar: All callsigns, the Federation is standing down in this AO, rally prisoners, grab their equipment, hopefully, the rest of their comrades nationwide will do the same eventually.
AWACS | Galaxy: Hitman Team, rally back at base, we're done here.
Hitman 2 | Diplomat: I'm gonna have to take a dip in the lake to get this damn smoke out of my hair, I've never seen the Federation just fall apart like that.
Hitman 3 | Comic: All this fire, it was all for nothing, then. I'm not a tree hugger, but I grew up 'round woods like these, damn shame.

Debriefing

Briefer: Federation forces have folded in the region. The majority of those that escaped today have been rallying back at their in-country headquarters: Prospero. Independence Force units are reorganizing for an attack on the trade city as practice for the invasion of Presidia, you're on call, Hitman Team, be ready.
