John MacDonald

Captain John MacDonald was the captain of the Federation Vertical Navy Littoria II-class air battlecruiser Vermillion and a member of Task Force 1.
Biography
On May 13, AC 432 during the Cascadian Conflict's Operation Free Agent, the Vermillion arrived with other airships from patrol in the middle of the raid. It was shot down along with the other airships, and the fate of Captain MacDonald is uncertain.[1][2]
Etymology
"John" means "gift/grace of God." "MacDonald" is derived from the Gaelic for "mighty/world ruler."
Trivia
John MacDonald is named after the Kickstarter backer of the same name.[3]
